We’re currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Montreal, Canada H2J2V4
A lovely family near Plateau is seeking an occasional babysitter for their energetic 1 year old child to start in January 2024 or sooner. Backup care is needed 1-3 times per month when the child is home from daycare and can fall on any day between Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm. The family is open to candidates who may only be available for 4-5 hours between 9am-5pm. Those applying do not need to have availability for all requests, but must understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The family can often provide a 24 hour notice prior to when backup care is needed, however, there may be times when the notice is less than this. There is a shy cat in the home; no pet care is needed. A great candidate will be caring, engaging, and reliable.

- Length of Position: Long term, minimum 1 year
- Compensation: $24 CAD per hour
Schedule: Intermittent as follows
- Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (No guaranteed hours - family is open to 4-5 hours within this time frame)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bottle + solid feeding
- Diaper changing
- Engaging with the child
- Facilitating nap times (1-2 per day)
- Meal times - will be prepped in advance (no cooking required)
- Outside time including stroller walks
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
- Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew
- Must be eligible to work in Canada/Canadian citizen
- Secondary (high) School or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with cats
